The Christman family began their construction trade in 1951 as home builders in the Racine County area. They have been family owned and operated ever since. The business ultimately expanded and in 1972 Jim Christman started specializing in all applications of concrete. He soon became one of Southeast Wisconsin's pioneers in custom concrete work.

In 1999, as Christman Contractors, Inc., Jim received the "Wisconsin Redimix Concrete Association" ACI Award for "Residential Category". See photo at top right.
